Postnatal care that wraps around you

This isn’t about swooping in with answers. It’s about practical care, emotional reassurance, and the small, human touches that make the early days less overwhelming. Think of it as someone noticing what you need before you even say it.

The little things that make the biggest difference

Every visit looks a little different, but it always circles back to the same thing: making those early days softer, calmer, and more supported.

Rest & Recovery

I’ll make sure you’re fed, watered, rested, and reminded that healing is as important as baby care. Whether that’s holding the baby while you nap, bringing you a snack, or simply making space for calm, your recovery always matters.

Baby support

Guidance with feeding, settling, soothing, and those “is this normal?” moments. No judgement, just gentle reassurance when you need it most, so you can find your own rhythm with your baby.

Space for You

A hot shower, a quiet tidy-up, or a moment to drink tea while someone else holds the baby. I’ll help you carve out the tiny pauses that make the days less overwhelming and remind you that your needs count, too.

Because support doesn’t stop at birth

How you’re cared for afterwards matters just as much as the birth itself. When someone is there to remind you to eat, to notice the signs of overwhelm, and to say “you’re doing brilliantly,” it changes everything about the way you experience these first weeks.

The fog feels lighter, the days feel softer, and you’re able to step into parenthood with more steadiness and pride.

What’s Included in my Postnatal Support?

Think of this as your soft landing into life with your newborn. From the first days home to the hazy weeks that follow, postnatal support gives you a calm hand to hold, a safe space to share, and the reminder that you don’t have to do it all alone.

Here’s how it flows:

  • Flexible, responsive care – from feeding support and soothing techniques to a breather while you shower or nap.

  • Breastfeeding guidance – practical, non-judgemental support to help you find what works best for you and your baby.

  • Everyday ease – light household tasks like laundry or meal prep so you can rest and focus on bonding.

  • Emotional check-ins – whether it’s a cry, a rant, or a cup of tea and a chat, there’s space for it all.

  • Community connections – support that stretches beyond me, linking you to local networks and other resources.

  • The postnatal support is £40 per hour — minimum 2 hours per booking.

Postnatal support isn’t only for mums. Partners, siblings, and the whole household benefit when the load is shared. Whether that’s giving your partner time to rest, helping older children feel included, or simply keeping the home steady, the care stretches beyond one person, so the whole family can breathe a little easier.

Jen, if I was looking for a doula I would choose Jen everytime. From day one of the course I could already see her in the role of a doula. She has a calm and gentle energy which will be so crucial her your clients. How lucky they are!

Optional keepsake: Postnatal photography

Alongside care, I offer gentle lifestyle photography of those first days with your baby. No posing, no stress, just the raw, real beauty of your family as it is.

These photos become keepsakes you’ll treasure long after the fog has lifted, a reminder of your strength, love, and the magic in those first moments together.

Questions parents often ask…

Because those early days come with a lot of “what ifs” here are a few answers families often want before booking.

  • Postnatal support is £40 per hour, with a minimum booking of 2 hours. Travel expenses are charged at £0.45 per mile (round trip) from Drayton (PO6). You can book as little or as much as you need, from one-off sessions to regular visits and I also offer flexible payment options so you feel in control.

  • Yes, postnatal support is designed to be flexible. You might start with a couple of hours and then realise you’d like more ongoing support. We can extend or add visits whenever you need, whether it’s to keep the practical help flowing, or just to have a steady presence nearby in those early weeks.

  • As a trained breastfeeding specialist, I can offer practical, non-judgemental support if you’re establishing feeding, facing challenges, or just need reassurance you’re doing well. If bottle-feeding is right for your family, I’ll support you with that too. The aim is always to help you feel confident, calm, and well informed, not to push one way of doing things.

  • Absolutely. Postnatal care isn’t just for mums, partners often need reassurance and guidance as well. I’ll help them feel clued-up, useful, and confident in their role, so you can approach parenthood as a team. Many partners find it’s a relief to have someone they can ask questions or lean on, too.

  • Then rest is exactly what you’ll get. I can hold the baby while you nap, shower, or take some time for yourself. I can also help with light household tasks like laundry or meal prep, so the weight is lifted from your shoulders. And if you’re struggling with sleep, I can share gentle newborn sleep education (not rigid training) to help you tune into your baby’s rhythms and find more calm at night.
